Here are a few tracks to draw a bit of extra attention to in our indie pop playlist for July 2024 to enjoy your summer to as it heats up.
Bones (God Like You) (Housewife) – Very chill lofi synth alt pop which sounds like Day Wave produced it in the best way possible. A lot of the hooks feel very Day Wave to me in particular.
Cold Water Swimming (Quiet Houses) – Great quiet synth pop power ballad with a lot of emotion from Quiet Houses.
Grands Boulevards (Yumi Zouma) – A hauntingly beautiful closer off of Yumi Zouma’s short but stacked EP III, I have been known to leave this one on repeat.
Wedding Song (John Keek) – John Keek’s “Wedding Song” sounds a lot like a late 90’s boy band with more musical depth and ethos like singer/songwriters of the 70’s and 80’s in the best way possible.
